Leagues Indoor Winter League - Seniors The Indoor Winder League has ended its 2007 season at BloomField Centre, Agricola Street. The Cougars FHC defeated the Spaz 8-4 to capture the indoor title this year. Among the Cougars goal scorers was 60-something player, Ken Howells. The Cougars also finished first in the regular season with only one loss all year. Renee Poirier of the Spaz was the league's top scorer with 15 goals. The usually strong Panthers did not make the playoffs since they were missing key players Murali Rajaraman (in Brussels), Sue Tingley (broken tibia) and Andrew Ross (in Australia).

Indoor Winter League - High School The 2007 High School League is holding a meeting of coaches and other interested individuals at 7pm, Monday, February 5 at Armbrae Academy, Halifax. In the past season, Dartmouth High won their first ever league title. They defeated last year's champions, JL Ilsley, 5-4 led by Rookie of the Year Nicole Hansom's 3 goals. Candace Slaunwhite of Halifax West was the MVP of the league and set a new record by scoring 59 goals to lead the league. High School schedule and standings Directions to the High Schools Outdoor Summer League The Summer League is played on the artificial turf at St. Mary's University's Huskies Stadium (map). The league consists of two divisions. Division 1 is for experienced players and the Division 2 is a developmental league where we offer clinics to start with followed by a league. Division 1 Information 2006 Division I League Schedule and Standings. If you are not on a team, contact one of the club teams to join the league. Practice sessions are held every Tuesday from 7-8 pm. Division 2 Information If you've never played the game before or are just not interested in a very competitive league, you should consider the Divison 2 League. It is designed to improve your skills and you can participate in a recreational league. This year, we are holding clinics and practice games in May followed by a league in June. More information. If you are not on a team, contact Kristina McCuaig to join the Division 2 league. 2005 League Standings Atlantic Cup Tournament The Atlantic Cup is an annual 'festival' tournament organized by Field Hockey Nova Scotia and is held every year at the end of July or early August. The primary goal of this event is fun! We normally have a senior and junior division with teams from New Brunswick, Price Edward Island and Ontario. Some of the local players do not play for their regular club teams but get together with other players to form their own teams. Two teams that have won the most are the Andrews Family (A-Team) and Mario's Maulers. The highlight of the event is Saturday night's party at a local pub where there's lots of door prizes as well as dancing. List of Past Winners and Sportsmanship Award Winners. Atlantic University Club Women's League The Fall University Women's League normally commences in September. Participating teams are: Dalhousie Tigers, Acadia Axewomen, St. Mary's Huskies, UNB Reds, & UPEI Panthers. If you are a university player and are interested in playing on one of the teams, contact us.
